Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It

n December of 2011, I gave a talk to an audience of scientists, Pentagon officials, politicians, and CEOs on the secret of life and how I’d figured it out the previous summer. Afterwards, people came up individually and told me how much what I’d shared meant to them. This book is based on the truth I spoke about. It’s something I learned from within myself, something I believed saved me. And more than that, the way I set about to do it. This is a collection of thoughts on what I learned, what worked, what didn’t. Where I succeed and importantly, where I fail daily. The truth is to love yourself with the same intensity you would use to pull yourself up if you were hanging off a cliff with your fingers. As if your life depended upon it. Once you get going, it’s not hard to do. Just takes commitment and I’ll share how I did it. It’s been trans-formative for me. I know it will be trans-formative for you as well.

I must say this might be a groundbreaking work. There’s something new and refreshing and unique about this book – totally different from the big lot of “self help” books. Something people forget and overlook in their daily life.

*It is not a piece of literary master piece or anything like that. Not a seminal / pedagogical work written by a PhD.

Kamal reminds everyone something people would have forgotten in today’s world of information deluge.

Unfu*k Yourself: Get Out of Your Head and into Your Life

Joining the ranks of The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F*ck, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck, You Are a Badas*, and F*ck Feelings comes this refreshing, BS-free, self-empowerment guide that offers an honest, no-nonsense, tough-love approach to help you move past self-imposed limitations.

Are you tired of feeling fu*ked up? If you are, Gary John Bishop has the answer. In this straightforward handbook, he gives you the tools and advice you need to demolish the slag weighing you down and become the truly unfu*ked version of yourself. ”Wake up to the miracle you are,” he directs. ”Here’s what you’ve forgotten: You’re a fu*king miracle of being.” It isn’t other people that are standing in your way, it isn’t even your circumstances that are blocking your ability to thrive, it’s yourself and the negative self-talk you keep telling yourself.

In Unfu*k Yourself, Bishop leads you through a series of seven assertions:

I am willing.
I am wired to win.
I got this.
I embrace the uncertainty.
I am not my thoughts; I am what I do.
I am relentless.
I expect nothing and accept everything.

Lead the life you were meant to have—Unfu*k Yourself.

The Mastery of Love: A Practical Guide to the Art of Relationship: A Toltec Wisdom Book

In The Mastery of Love, don Miguel Ruiz illuminates the fear-based beliefs and assumptions that undermine love and lead to suffering and drama in our relationships. Using insightful stories to bring his message to life, Ruiz shows us how to heal our emotional wounds, recover the freedom and joy that are our birthright, and restore the spirit of playfulness that is vital to loving relationships. The Mastery of Love includes:

• Why “domestication” and the “image of perfection” lead to self-rejection
• The war of control that slowly destroys most relationships
• Why we hunt for love in others, and how to capture the love inside us
• How to finally accept and forgive ourselves and others

“Happiness can only come from inside of you and is the result of your love. When you are aware that no one else can make you happy, and that happiness is the result of your love, this becomes the greatest mastery of the Toltec: the Mastery of Love.”  — don Miguel Ruiz

I really appreciate the author for writing such life changing content. At a time like this, it is a great necessity to learn how to love. I recommend this to anyone who is doubtful about love, anyone who is feeling self-pity, anyone who is yearning to find love in another person. With this book you will learn how accepting and loving yourself will help you to truly love others. There’s no room for toxicity in relationships when we learn what love really is and we begin to love unconditionally. I will continue to replay this a few times in my lifetime so that I may not forget. I recommend this book to all who are willing to listen and learn.

The Fifth Agreement: A Practical Guide to Self-Mastery (Toltec Wisdom)

In The Four Agreements, don Miguel Ruiz revealed how the process of our education, or “domestication,” can make us forget the wisdom we were born with. Throughout our lives, we make many agreements that go against ourselves and create needless suffering. The Four Agreements help us to break these self-limiting agreements and replace them with agreements that bring us personal freedom, happiness, and love.
In The Fifth Agreement, don Miguel Ruiz joins his son don Jose Ruiz to offer a fresh perspective on The Four Agreements, and a powerful new agreement for transforming our lives into our personal heaven. The Fifth Agreement takes us to a deeper level of awareness of the power of the Self, and returns us to the authenticity we were born with. In this compelling sequel to the book that has changed the lives of millions of people around the world, we are reminded of the greatest gift we can give ourselves: the freedom to be who we really are.

Fantastic book! It begins with some fresh insight into The Four Agreements and The Fifth Agreement tells you how to deal with that voice in your head. A must read for those interested in personal growth!.

HOW THIS BOOK HAS PERSONALLY HELPED ME:

– No one person’s opinion will ever again have the power to limit what I can do, even if this person is an authority figure
– No one group’s opinion will ever again have the power to limit what I can do
– No one has a clear idea of who or what I am, not even me!
– When people talk, they are telling stories. I don’t have to argue. I don’t have to fight. I simply have to listen. WOW!
– I cannot comprehend another person’s dream. I can’t mind read. I can’t assume. I know nothing of their inner workings.
– Even scary, aggressive people are just telling stories.
– I no longer have to feel ashamed about who I am or what I’ve done or where I’m going. It’s not my job to assign a story to my life, or a judgment.
– I no longer have to pretend to be something or hustle to gain love. I just need to love who is willing to love back. It’s so simple.
– I take all gurus, religions, indictments and gossip with quite a high level of benevolent skepticism, which allows me to be free from the fear that goes along with these stories.
– I don’t take myself as seriously as I used to.
